Pelješac is a peninsula in southern Croatia, in the Dubrovnik-Neretva county. It is around 70 km long and is connected with an isthmus at Ston. The Strait of Peljesac is located at its other end, and it divides the peninsula from the island of Korčula. Pelješac will be connected to the mainland by the Pelješac bridge in 2008.
Administratively the peninsula is divided into the municipalities of: Orebić, Trpanj, Janjina.
Orebić is port town and municipality in the Dubrovnik-Neretva county in Croatia. It is located on the Pelješac peninsula. Orebić's directly across a strait from the town of Korčula, located on the island of the same name. Ferries service the two towns frequently.
Important to the region are its tourist attractions. The Franciscan monastary of Our Lady of Angels is a popular attraction. Visitors are also drawn to the Mount of Saint Elijah (Croatian brdo Sv. Ilija) located behind the town which offers a good view of the island of Korcula and the Adriatic Sea.
